Citing the call of the Prime Minister during his Independence Day speech to every Indian to visit 15 destinations in the country by 2022, when India celebrates 75th anniversary of Independence, Khanna said that the government should support the realization of the PM’s vision by exempting domestic tourism from the ambit of GST.

The ADTOI President in his speech also urged the government to reduce the GST burden on tourism especially, MICE travel so that the business going out of India can be stopped.
