World’s first underwater villa, The Muraka is open now.

The Muraka has started to welcoming visitors now. Yes, you read that right. The Muraka is here finally! The Muraka in Maldives, the first underwater villa of the world is open for booking now for travellers. This underwater villa named as Muraka (meaning coral in Dhiveni), is the brainchild of the Conrad Maldives Rangali. We are already head over heels with the stunner that the Maldives is, the place is set to bowl us over with this one.

The media release has taken the tourism The Muraka is a two-storey structure, one over the water and one underwater. A staircase will lead you to the underwater high-end suite that will have a plush, king-size bed, a washroom as well as a living area. This ‘Into the Blue’ experience will have travelers staying at 16 ft 4 inches below the ocean surface, and you can very well imagine the lure of these crystal-clear waters. The media release has taken the tourism world by storm with, wooing water babies from all over the world.

The Muraka’s upper floor is also planned to be an uber-luxurious experience, including a gym, butler’s quarter, bedroom, kitchen, bar and, of course, a deck for all those splendid Maldivian sunsets. Needless to mention, this villa has its dedicated service 24 X 7 service staff.

The uninitiated should know that the Conrad also has the world’s first undersea restaurant to its name, started in 2000. A night’s tariff here would set you back by $50,000 (INR 36.67 lakhs), and perhaps rightly so.  With the winters right by the corner, a stay at The Muraka does seem like the perfect getaway Right?
